"Walking in the Light" 1 John 1:5-10

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

1. What are the implications of God being “light”? How does this divine attribute impact us?

2. What darkness, brokenness, and fallenness do you personally experience and struggle with? How do you recognize them in yourself? Have others ever spoken to you about them?

3. We’ve been told [vv.9-10] “9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” Let us now confess our sins and receive God’s forgiveness and cleansing. Let us grieve over our sins and confess before God who is light.
